cordyceps/fear ant drawings

A series of graphite drawings on graph paper depicting cordyceps infected ants. Cordyceps is a fungus whose spores, once inhaled by insects, influence the actions of the insect to serve the needs of the fungus regardless of the effect on the infected individual.

In these drawings, the fungus’ fruiting body is replaced with hormone/neurotransmitter molecules associated with fear.
