Adrenaline Junkie
Cordyceps, an often parasitic fungus that infects insects, forcing the insect to act in a way that is beneficial only to the fungus is used to recreate an adrenaline molecule. Adrenaline is a hormone made to help the body prepare for stressful or dangerous situations. Adrenaline is quickly sent into the body creating the “rush” to get the body ready to fight, flee, or freeze. This rush can also lead us to make decisions counter to logic and actual wellbeing.
