In Big Springs NE for the opening of the M12 studi In Big Springs NE for the opening of the M12 studio’s A&M (archive/mercantile) and PASTURE exhibition space. M12 will be taking a deep dive into the Ogallala aquifer region, exploring/researching the landscape and culture to make projects in collaboration with the people who call it home. M12 Studio is an artist-run studio and nonprofit organization. We do projects all over the world and they range from books to large outdoor sculpture to events like this one. @m12studio
A model I made of the Wolf Creek Nuclear Generator A model I made of the Wolf Creek Nuclear Generator as part of the inaugural exhibition of PASTURE and the opening of M12 studio’s A&M building in Big Springs, NE. BLACKBEAR BOSIN: WOLF CREEK focuses on work by Blackbear Bosin (1921-1980), a Native American artist of Kiowa and Comanche descent, born in 1921 in Oklahoma, who later lived in Kansas. This exhibit highlights Bosin's hand drawn logo for the Wolf Creek Generating Station, a nuclear power plant in Kansas. Wolf Creek Station is fed by the Neosho River, a tributary of the Arkansas River, which along with the Platte River, form the two major waterways of the northern Ogallala Geographical Region. Bosin was well known as a painter of indigenous spiritual motifs and natural landscapes. As in other works by the artist, the Wolf Creek logo with its delicate attention to the wolf, evokes the cultural heritage of his Plains tribes, their commitments to and reverence for the natural world. The creation of such a logo for a nuclear power plant represents a complex and intriguing collaboration between art, the public, and the utilities industry. @m12studio

I am proud to be a part of an organization that has worked so hard to raise over $4,000,000 for charity and to use my skills to not only design and perform on stage with the other troupes but also to install this exhibition on display at la Zona for the next month or so.
