A series of drawings that conflate Biblical stories/images with those of science. In one drawing, a so-called Darwin’s finch is depicted in the guise of the Holy Spirit. Another Darwin Finch replaces the dove released by Noah in the story of the Great Flood. The branch in the bird’s beak that indicated to Noah the presence of land is replaced with Darwin’s “tree of life.” The biblical fruit of the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil” is conflated with the mythological apple that lead to Newton’s law of gravity.
